چکیده
In this paper, we study the problem of two-dimensional free surface flows past an inclined plate infinite length. The Riabouchinsky model is considered. fluid assumed to be inviscid and incompressible flow steady irrotational. For study, effects gravity tension are negligible. This solved by using two methods. first method allow us compute analytical solution employing Schwarz-Christoffel mapping. other numerically series truncation method. obtained results showed a good agreement between numerical exact solution.

Zero Gravity of Free-Surface Jet Flow
The problem of determining the free surface due to a jet against a vertical plate is considered. The classical problem of free streamline flow of an ideal fluid has been studied by many authors [1− 4] . The first work in this type of problem is characterized by the use of the Schwartz-Christoffel formula. The latter can treat the flows of border, which combines rectilinear paroies and a free su...
متن کاملNonlinear free surface flows past a semi- infinite flat plate in water of finite depth
We consider the steady free surface two-dimensional flow past a semi-infinite flat plate in water of a constant finite depth. The fluid is assumed to be inviscid, incompressible and the flow is irrotational; surface tension at the free surface is neglected. Our concern is with the periodic waves generated downstream of the plate edge. These can be characterized by a depth-based Froude number, F...
متن کاملUnsteady MHD free convective flow past a semi - infinite vertical porous plate
In this article, we studied the effects of variable viscosity and thermal conductivity on an unsteady twodimensional laminar flow of a viscous incompressible electrically conducting fluid past a semi-infinite vertical plate taking into account the mass transfer. The fluid viscosity is assumed to vary as a linear function of temperature. The governing equations for the flow are transformed into ...
متن کاملAnalytical Solution of The Laminar Boundary Layer Flow over Semi-Infinite Flat Plate: Variable Surface Temperature
In this paper, the problem of forced convection over a horizontal flat plate under condition of variable plate temperature is presented and the homotopy perturbation method (HPM) is employed to compute an approximation to the solution of the system of nonlinear differential equations governing the problem. This paper provides good supplements to the existing literature and generalizes the previ...
متن کاملFree Convection of Heat Transfer in Flow past a Semi-infinite Flat Plate in Transverse Magnetic Field with Heat Flux
A steady two-dimensional MHD free convection of heat transfer in flow past a semi-infinite flat plate in transverse magnetic field with heat flux has been examined. The governing partial differential equation are non-dimensionalised and transformed into a system of nonlinear ordinary differential similarity equations, in a single independent variable η and using Runge-Kutta Gill method with sho...
